GCRI Session: When to Take a Stand
Funders work hard to address challenging issues facing their communities beyond writing a check.
Philanthropic organizations can be influential voices on cultural, social, and policy issues, but it can be difficult to determine when and how to speak up.
Join us to learn about different approaches and decision-making tools to determine when it is time for your organization to join a sign on letter, make a statement, engage in public messaging and education, or other advocacy-related efforts around issues of importance to your community.
Speakers will include Matthew Evans, Senior Director of Public Policy at United Philanthropy Forum, and Chynna A. Phillips, Senior Director of Policy and Research at the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina.
