GCRI’s members are private, family, community and corporate foundations, as well as corporate giving programs, federated and faith-based giving programs, and government funders. Members are located all over the state, from Woonsocket and Pawtucket to Newport. Some are local foundations, companies, and organizations, and some come from Rhode Island’s state and municipal governments. Some are national and global companies and organizations with a local commitment. Some have a local geographic focus to their giving. GCRI members are active in funding diverse initiatives ranging from public health, education, financial literacy, workforce development, civic engagement, the environment, humanities, and basic needs. GCRI’s corporate members also invest in Rhode Island through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, employee volunteerism, in-kind donations and employee giving/matching programs.
