Many businesses are committed to investing in their communities, but their philanthropy operates independently from their corporate activity and business model.

This session will look at the opportunities for your company’s social impact to be an engine for business growth and development, as well as the business imperative to integrate community values into not only your organizational culture, but also consumer products and services.

Join us to think through examples of the intersection of business practice, community engagement, and social responsibility.  We will hear from a large corporation, a community bank, and JUST Capital, a national nonprofit that helps companies improve how they serve all their stakeholders — workers, customers, communities, the environment and shareholders.

Speakers:

Adriana Dawson, Community Engagement Director, Verizon
Paola Fernandez, Vice President, Community Development Officer, Centreville Bank
Ben King, Managing Director, Corporate Strategy and Engagement, JUST Capital
