United Philanthropy Forum’s Philanthropy + Policy Institute is the primary opportunity for regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs) to take a “deep dive” together over several days to strengthen their policy and advocacy work. The Philanthropy + Policy Institute seeks to prepare PSOs for individual, collaborative, and collective public policy work at the local, state, and federal levels.

This Newly Revamped Program is Member-Led and Designed specifically for:

  • PSOs Staff + Members
  • Policy Leaders and CEOs
  • Communications and External Affairs Staff
  • PSO Board + Policy Committee Members

Capacity and Skill Building Themes will include:

  • Normalizing Advocacy in the Sector
  • Evolution of Public Policy in Philanthropy
  • Centering Racial Equity
  • Uplifting Collaboration

The 2021 Philanthropy + Policy Institute aims to uplift the idea of collective advocacy. Collective participation in the advocacy process is essential to the philanthropic sector’s ability to educate policymakers about the work, value, and impact of foundations.  By working together on public policy, PSOs can advise elected officials and staff about potential legislation or regulation, gain support for policy issues, and build partnerships to achieve policy reforms that lead to just and equitable outcomes for communities the sector seeks to serve.

Help build sector public policy capacity by registering and participating in this unique and collaborative virtual experience.

This event will be held in Washington, DC.
