July 23, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the United Way of RI!

Many nonprofits in RI are anticipating drops in funding. The end of state and federal COVID-era funding is beginning to impact the nonprofit sector, and GCRI members are already hearing from nonprofits who are experiencing significant shortfalls.

The Workforce Development Funders Collaborative is one example of a group of private and public funding partners who are considering how to respond to decreases in pandemic-era funding.

During this GCRI member gathering, we will hear from members of the Workforce Development Funders Collaborative about the impacts they are seeing and how they are responding.

We will also have time for grantmakers from other sectors to share what they are hearing and discuss ideas for how best to respond.

The meeting will include:

  • An opportunity to share what GCRI members are hearing re: current and predicted losses in funding for nonprofit grantee partners
  • GCRI members Roshni Darnal and Carmen Diaz-Jusino will share a current example of funding shortfalls in workforce development and how they are responding.
  • Small group discussions about how funders can respond.
