Join us for a webinar on the Foundation Center’s latest analysis of social sector infrastructure funding by U.S. foundations from 2004 to 2015.  The ecosystem of organizations that enables, strengthens, and evolves the work of civil society is complex, as is its funding. Did you know that U.S. foundations made grants totaling $1.94 billion to support nonprofit and philanthropic infrastructure between 2004 and 2015? This funding accounted for less than one percent of total giving by U.S. foundations. The Foundation Center’s research also suggests updated categorization for infrastructure organizations, making it easier to understand the funding landscape and trends.
Attendees will learn:
  • How much U.S. foundation funding goes to infrastructure organizations by various breakdowns
  • How we are defining infrastructure organizations, and
  • How to use the data to encourage investment in infrastructure
Following this webinar, participants will have a strong understanding of the infrastructure funding landscape and where their organization fits. The organizations in attendance will be able to make a stronger case for supporting infrastructure related to their own work and in peer influence circles.
Speakers:
Larry McGill, Vice President for Knowledge Services, Foundation Center
Jen Bokoff, Director of Stakeholder Engagement, Foundation Center
